The volunteer program focuses on the care and well-being of the animals that inhabit the sanctuary. The work is carried out by and for them, in order to ensure that all their needs and comforts are fully covered in a safe, spacious, and natural environment.
The stay must be consistent with the sanctuary's anti-speciesist values, therefore the entry of animal-origin products or products tested on animals, in food, hygiene, cosmetics, or textiles, is not allowed.
The schedule is set according to the time of year, since the work depends on the length of daylight hours, which in turn determines the routine of the animals living here.
The current winter schedule is set as follows:
- The morning shift is from 8:00 to 13:00, with a half-hour break; for caring for the animals (feeding and cleaning of the facilities).
- The afternoon shift is from 17:00 to 19:00, for other activities according to the sanctuary's needs (maintenance, conditioning of enclosures, facilities, accompaniment of vulnerable animals or those under medical follow-up, etc.).
