This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in! I'm still living at the hostel even after my volunteering dates because of the amazing community we have here at the hostel. There are a lot of people staying long term, so you really build that friendship and a sense of community. The kitchen here is very nice. They have a lot of tools and items like hand blender, air fryer, etc that other hostels normally don't carry. There are a lot of free food like seasonings, rice, oats, sauces, etc. I highly recommend this hostel to everyone! Manager ash is awesome and she even helped me with my resume:)

The team here at the hostel are the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful bunch. I felt really looked after while staying here, both from the staff and the other volunteers that are carefully vetted by them. I only have great things to say and would absolutely volunteer again.

I had a fantastic experience volunteering at this hostel doing housekeeping shifts during the day. The work was clear well structured and nicely organised with everything explained properly from the start. Ash is an absolute gem she is kind supportive and always willing to help creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like part of a little family.

Great place to stay and perfect location to explore the hostel suburbs as well as easy walking distance to train/ tram/ bus services. Ash was welcoming and supportive. The other volunteers were lovely and friendly. Lovely place. Cosy rooms and the sunday waffles were an added bonus!

What an amazing experience it was to work as a volunteer in the hostel! The staff, fellow volunteers and long term guests quickly became like a big family, which really helped me feel right at home in the hostel. The work is clear and well structured and Ash, being the greatest hostel manager, was always very attentive, helpful and kind. I worked mostly as the hostels Night Warden, which consisted in 3/4h night shifts, and the responsibility to attend to the guests needs throughout the night. I only intended to stay for 1 month but it turned out to be an unforgettable 4 months experience!

Wow what a magical experience I had volunteering here. The hostel attracts the best people, it was so easy to meet people and make friends for life ♡
The volunteering here was also good, I mostly did bed changes and dorm cleans, 3 hours in the morning and I usually got 3 to 4 shifts a week (amount of shifts depend on how many volunteers are there). It was easy to follow the tasks, Ash was an amazing manager and will always praise when a job has been well done. The team were always supportive.
The hostel itself is in such a prime location, right next to CBD.
Overall an amazing experience!

I had a fantastic time at the hostel. I mainly worked evenings, where the work was fair, varied, and fit perfectly around my schedule. Being on call isn't as bad as it sounds and I was only woken up to deal with something a handful of times. Ash and Matt are great and make you feel welcome and everything is communicated clearly. I made some lovely friends here as there are a lot of long term guests. Alongside evening shifts I got to host Trivia and make waffles which was super fun. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming to the hostel, it's absolutely fabulous.
