The Experience

I am seeking 1 or 2 volunteers to accompany a gentle refurbishment process and home upkeep in a natural and peaceful environment. This position is not intended as intensive work, but as a mindful exchange where living together, communication, and mutual respect are as important as the practical tasks.

Initially we kept in touch, but as the volunteering date approached the host vanished; he replied to me about 20 days before the agreed date and then disappeared again without leaving us the information we would need to reach the location. Luckily we found another place, but that kind of attitude isn't acceptable... We had planned around it and we were in another country. Anyway, I don’t know exactly what happened, but we didn’t get any more feedback from him either. I hope nothing serious happened, but it was a surprise for us to have to look for a place during peak season, anyway, that was it.
