Welcome to Modlimowo, a small and peaceful village in north-western Poland, where we’re creating a safe haven for rescued horses and building a community rooted in care, simplicity, and closeness to nature.

25 hours of help per week
Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

At the heart of everything are the horses, all rescued by our foundation from difficult conditions and now living freely, with dignity and respect.
Step by step, we are transforming an old rural property into a working sanctuary and volunteers are a big part of that journey.

‼️‼️For this position we prefer male volunteers, who are ready to do heavy construction work, Female volunteers are also welcome if they feel good with handling hand tools and power tools and ocasional heavy lifting. ‼️‼️

🛠️ How You Can Help (Projects & Tasks)
There are plenty of opportunities to support the sanctuary in different ways:
🔧 Basic construction & improvement projects
Building fences, shelters, and simple tool sheds
Using basic tools and helping with practical outdoor projects
🎨 Painting & maintenance
Painting wooden buildings, fences, walls (indoor & outdoor)
General repairs and upkeep around the property
🌱 Gardening & landscaping
Planting, weeding, composting
Cutting grass, clearing paths, improving the land step by step
📦 Organizing storage & tools
Sorting, labeling, repairing, and creating order in our storage spaces
(We have a lot of things that need organizing 😅)
🌾 Daily Rhythm & Atmosphere
There is no rush here. Every day is different, and tasks are adapted to your energy, skills, and the season.
⏰ We usually aim for around 5 hours of help per day, and we always make space for:

This is a place for people who enjoy meaningful work, simple living, and real connection, with nature, animals, and a slower rhythm of life.
