I had a really beautiful time staying at Hamza's place in Tagounite. Hamza was a wonderfull host, with a generous heart. I was blessed with the opportunity to join his daily life and get a taste of the authentic village life of Tagounite. Tagounite is a beautiful small village with a lot of character and charm. Hamza was really providing and I felt deeply cared for. And at the same time he gives you a lot of freedom to wander on yourself. He was so kind to organize a trekking in the dessert for some days for me. This was one of the most magical experiences I've had and something I will cherish

I had lovely stay at Hamza's. He is very welcoming and showed me around in the beautifull village. His garden is really relaxed and you will wake up with the best bird alarm you can imagine. Hamza is a good cook as well and has amazing and very funny friends. In terms of volunteering, you can expect lots of free time and chilling mostly! Because I was looking for some more work to do, Hamza let me stay at some of his friends which was a very lovely experience. I am looking forward to come back soon!

We only spent a few days in Tagounite, but I felt very welcome. Hamza is a very kind and he made sure we felt comfortable in his home. It's a house in the city, which makes it easy to explore the small area. He showed us a bit around the city and introduced us to Moroccan culture, which we really appreciated. He cooked the food and it was very good. The work was light, and there was a lot of free time to explore and relax. If you are looking for a very relaxed stay and want to experience small-town life and live like a local in Tagounite , this is definitely a good place for you

Hamza is a very friendly and welcoming person; he showed us what local life in his town is like. However, it is necessary that the description of the volunteer program he offers be updated... The two other female volunteers present and I had to ask to be given something to do, since at the moment there is no formal volunteer program. Also, Hamza doesn't have a car, only a motorcycle (which, by the way, didn't work when I went), so it will be difficult to go to the desert if there is more than one volunteer. I do not recommend it for people who are looking for a formal volunteer program.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about your stay.

As mentioned in my profile, during the summer there is no school and activities are much more relaxed due to the heat. The volunteer experience at this time of year is focused more on cultural exchange, local life, and helping with whatever tasks are available rather than a structured project with fixed daily activities.
Wish you all the best Isabel :))
