I I think the experience was very enriching for both of us. I learned about their culture and cuisine, and I saw incredible beaches and places in Himarë. Ana and her husband are wonderful people who always greet you with a smile..

My experience was ultimately disappointing, despite my initial excitement about the place. The host asked me and another volunteer to leave two months earlier than agreed, giving us only three days to find new accommodation. The reason was the host's early closure, yet two new volunteers replaced us. This felt unfair and misleading. Additionally, some regular staff showed sexist attitudes, underestimating female volunteers and treating them differently from men. I advise future volunteers to clarify all arrangements carefully before committing.

Dear Emilia,
We really did not want to hurt your feelings, but you are well aware that you have not showed any interest in your role and were mostly seating in the customers area instead of helping.
In relation to your sexism comments, i have never heard any complaint from you during these weeks. It is not fair to bring up such issues as a “retaliation”.
Volunteering is unfortunately not a vacation, and you would need to at least show some interest.
