I stayed at Donggeun's farm during chestnut harvest season. The work was busy but fulfilling. What touched me most was how kindly Donggeun and his brother treated us. They cared about us, respected our needs and made us feel like family. His brother is a chef and cooked delicious Korean meals every day. We always looked forward to each meal! In our free time, they drove us to historical sites, a beautiful bridge and the seaside. Donggeun is a wonderful host with a huge chestnut farm, goats, three dogs and a happy family. I felt like part of their family. I would definitely come back.

Donggeun and his family were really receptive. The food was great, and he also took us to get to know some places in the region. For me, the work itself was really interesting and we could take some rest whenever we wanted to. I only stayed for a week and left wishing I could stay longer.

We had a great experience with Lee and his family. Working on the farm isn't always easy, but it's rewarding to see how things develop as you progress. We had a true cultural immersion, visiting local restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, and nearby beaches, and especially spending time in his home with his brother, father, mother, and children. The gastronomic experience was incredible during our stay. I recommend the experience! Thank you Lee and Bonggeun!

Lee's farm felt like home away from home - he was very warm and hospitable and so were his family. The farm work is physically tiring but working hours are fair. Lee (and his brother) take super great care of the volunteers, driving us around to sightsee in Cheongyang and beyond, every meal is cooked with love, and they are very passionate to share about Korean food, culture, music and movies and learn about other cultures too! Anyone who volunteers here will leave with wonderful memories and nostalgia for the beautiful Korean countryside. Thank you for everything:)

Lee is a very very great host! I am so grateful to meet such a nice host. We go on tours and eat out sometimes. We also eat homemade food everyday! Work starts at 6am usually and ends by lunch time for the most part. We picked gosari and built fence for the most part. I had a really great time overall. Thank you, Lee!
