My first volunteer was great!! Charly cares for his volunteers and is always flexible to work things out with scheduling and has great insight with things around Guadalajara. The work itself is pretty basic tasks nothing too demanding for one person in a 5 hour shift!
One thing that took me away was when I first arrived he sat me down and ran through the exceptions and the tasks but he didn’t shy away from telling me that this was more than just a small volunteer work it was like coming into a small family business where everyone cared for each other and looked out for one another

Staying with the host is one of the most different experiences I've had in my years of traveling. Besides being a hostel, it's a bar, and the type of work is distributed between the bar and the host. Charly is always making new plans so that we all have a good time, and honestly there is a great sense of fraternity. Many thanks to the host for this great, unique opportunity.

Charlie is an amazing host. He is in charge of organizing activities to share with all the people at the hostel. I highly recommend staying with him and getting to know Mexican culture. The tasks are mainly cleaning and helping with the business.
