As Lorenzo's second Worldpackers volunteer, I had a meaningful month at his traditional wheat farm and facility. He was respectful, accommodating, and created a relaxed, open-minded environment. I enjoyed learning about agricultural history, farm operations, and milling processes through his hands-on teaching. Tasks ranged from light to physically demanding, and hours were respected, allowing time to explore the island. A highlight was our knowledge exchange, where I demonstrated soapmaking for him and other volunteers. I highly recommend this experience. Grazie mille, Lorenzo!

Lorenzo, our host, was immediately a warm and welcoming person. We absolutely loved the time spent with him, he was skillful, hardworking and knowledgeable, and truly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. He also speaks 4 languages, which is super cool and he communicated very well in both Italian and English with us. A great experience, a very cute town and a fantastic host!

Lorenzo is very polite and respectful guy, it was really nice to get to know him. Working hours were respected and working in the field was physical but nice. There is one thing that at least I would like to know if I was going there next. Our last night there we found a cockroach in the bathroom. Lorenzo didn't know about them beforehand and he acted immediately to eliminate them from the mill which was very nice of him. However I couldn't be sure that they were completely gone and I decided to leave although we had agreed beforehand that I would stay there alone for ten more days.

I was the first volunteer using this platform , he normally has WOOFers. Highly recommend for anyone interested in sustainable farming as long as you are up for the hard work that entails. (For me it meant mainly moving rocks from the field & filing bags of flour) the surrounding nature around the town is gorgeous!

Volunteering was great, I learned a lot about wheat, something I had no idea about, especially since I’m from Mexico. We don’t have such a deep-rooted use of wheat; we are more into corn, so new flavors, new products, a whole world of novelties that this volunteering offers. Honestly, I felt very comfortable. Lorenzo is cordial, understanding, and I really enjoyed collaborating with him, learning completely new things. I am very grateful to Lorenzo for allowing me to collaborate with this volunteering and to get to know his way of life and his livelihood. I hope to return again to get a little more involved.

The host is a very nice person, kind-hearted, from the countryside, very simple, truly cares about the traveler's well-being. The work is ok. The accommodation is very poor, the room is in a basement of a warehouse and a wheat mill, it is extremely hot and uncomfortable even with the fan on, there are many insects biting you all the time and the air in the work area and in your room has a lot of wheat milling dust, unfortunately I couldn't stay more than 3 nights at the place. You can learn about the wheat supply chain, that's cool.

I wanted to overlook it, but I have to respond. Apparently motivated online, but unfortunately unsuitable in person. He helped very little. He deflated a 200-euro inflatable mattress, and left without paying a cent of what was written, he tried to make me feel guilty because there was a power outage in town due to the excessive heat. If there are certain problems, they should be stated before leaving. P.S. The room was the one from the profile that no one questioned. I am sending the feedback back to the sender.
