I had a good experience overall.

Celmira & Enrique trusted me from day one, which made me feel welcome and valued. They care about volunteers and are always willing to help to ensure I had a great time in Mendoza. The food was very good, the room was comfortable, and the location is excellent, just a short walk from the city centre & parks.

I would advise future volunteers to take initiatives, to ask questions, or to keep yourself busy, because otherwise the experience could become a bit quiet. Being proactive really helps to get the most out of your stay.

My experience as a volunteer at the host was very positive. I got to know the routine of a local café, practice Spanish, meet great people and also contribute my professional experience. I think it's important to come with realistic expectations: not everything works perfectly from day one and a good experience depends on both sides. The volunteer must be willing to learn, teach, ask questions, and be proactive, while the host must be open to guiding and listening. With the willingness of both sides, the exchange becomes a learning and growth experience.

Good experience and learning in the gastronomic field:
I gained practical experience in cooking and restaurant service, developing knowledge about food preparation, organization, hygiene, teamwork, and customer service.
Thanks to Celmira and Enrique, who also cook very tasty food 😋

My experience was excellent and, moreover, it was my first volunteering experience, so it will always have a special place for me. From the first day I felt very welcome and comfortable thanks to Celmira and Enrique as well as the other volunteers. What I most value is the abundance of different cultures, the food, which was always very rich, abundant and varied, and the location is excellent for getting to know the city. Without a doubt I would recommend this volunteering program to anyone who wants to get to know this beautiful city, learn and share with incredible people!

My experience was very positive. I had the opportunity to meet amazing people from different countries and improve my Spanish skills.

The tasks were well organized and I was able to contribute by helping to create a clean and welcoming environment for the clients. This experience helped me develop my sense of responsibility, organization, and teamwork.

I am very grateful for everything I learned, for the cultural exchange.

Our experience with Millena was wonderful, she quickly adapted to the tasks and the dynamic. She left a beautiful mark on our business. She was very responsible and completed the tasks she was assigned with excellent results.
We hope to see you again, you will always be welcome.
Follow your dreams, learn and enjoy.

I had an excellent experience at the host. It's a great opportunity to live in a central area of Mendoza and to explore Argentina's gastronomy and natural beauty. The job was simple: cleaning the kitchen, preparing food, and serving customers at the café. Celmira and Enrique always prepared delicious meals. I have an A2 level of Spanish, approaching B1, but I have trouble understanding the Argentine accent. I recommend future volunteers to have a stronger foundation in Spanish, as this can be a challenge.

Kim, we were incredibly lucky that you applied and were with us. It was a real pleasure to have you on the team and to share day-to-day life with you. Your help in the kitchen and with the clients was invaluable to us. We’re really glad that you enjoyed Mendoza and the meals we prepared. Regarding Spanish, you did very well. Spanish is quite a challenge, but your effort was worth it. We wish you all the best on your upcoming trips. "Moksha will always be your home"

My experience with the host was short, and I decided to end it before the agreed period, because I did not adapt to the dynamics of the place and the work. The activities were mainly in the kitchen, helping with dishes, cleaning and the preparation of the food. The experience includes lodging and meals. I believe it can work for people who adapt well to a demanding kitchen routine, but for me it was not a good fit.

I do not recommend! I applied as a barista, but the tasks were mainly domestic cleaning of the hosts' house, different from what was offered. The volunteers' bathroom did not have a shower: we had to go through the restaurant, ask for permission to enter their house and bathe at limited times. I was always respectful and did everything, but they were rude/bad and I never felt welcome. I ended up sad and crying. I have 5 years of volunteering experience and I have never lived something like this. Other volunteers had similar complaints. I hope the hosts take this feedback to improve.

What a pity your experience wasn't what you expected within less than 48 hours. We do NOT ask for a barista.
Attitude that you showed is not one you have.
The designated tasks were to help you get to know the place and the tasks that all the volunteers have carried out; this is an exchange platform for LEARNING and teaching.
Unfortunately you didn't teach us anything and you didn't learn anything.
In the same way we wish you all the best.
