My time here was really good, the location is amazing there's lots to do in walking distance and the tasks were simple and did not take too much time daily. The other volunteers were the highlight of the stay, they were all lovely! the only downside was communication with the host was little to none but overall I would recommend !

Having the opportunity to work at the host was the best decision we could have made when coming to Rio de Janeiro. First of all, the people including the other workawayers, the owner of the hostel, the employees and the guests that stayed at the hostel were all very very kind, openminded and warm-hearted individuals. Living there felt like having a second family! The work was really calm, even less than 5h a day, which allowed us to see a lot of Rio. The neighbourhood, the host, is adorable, as there are cute little Samba Bars etc. We absolutely recommend it!

This experience was not really what i expected. the shared room wasn't clean and my roommate and i got sick… the tasks were simple and clearly explained. the people were nice but the place was a bit empty and i wasn't confortable staying more. i left earlier than planned.

My volunteering experience at the host wasn't what I expected. The work (mainly cleaning) was not well organized, and there were mainly communication issues. The place itself is still pretty nice. The volunteer room and breakfast were okay, but not great. I didn't feel comfortable, so I decided to leave after a week. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this place.

My experience at the the host was very good overall. The neighborhood where it is located is super artistic and bohemian, at just 5 minutes from the center the host. The tasks are very clear and the schedules are well defined and are respected. Even, on some occasions, they can be smaller if there is a good performance. The people in charge have a fairly kind communication with the volunteers and, in general, the group of volunteers was also very good.
