This volunteering is also a great opportunity to find locals, be involved into the city heart, do cultural and historical walks.
The team was amazing to me! Fernando, Nalvinha and their family welcomed me and I was feeling almost at home.

Working as a volunteer in Belém Hostel was my first experience as a worldpacker. I've had no idea what to expect and it's turned out great. People there are super nice and welcoming and you get to know so many different people from all over the world sharing their stories. I'd recommend staying and working there and just enjoy the Brazilian vibe. I'm so thankful having this opportunity m and am looking forward to coming back as soon as possible! ❤

My experience at BBelém Hostel was very smooth, with simple cleaning tasks and organizing the rooms; I could also help with artwork for social media. The manager Jonathan is a real partner, he explains everything that needs to be done and will help you whenever you need. Dona Rai is also a very nice person; my experience was excellent, but before me two volunteers were invited to leave... ask all your questions, ask everything you will have to do, and keep to what was agreed and you won't have any problems. Belém is an amazing city and the hostel is very well located, I highly recommend it.

André is a true cultural producer for anyone who wants to experience the roots of Pará culture; I recommend diving into the experience.

I really enjoyed my experience at the hostel. André is a very positive, understanding, and patient person in communication, since I don't speak Portuguese. Belém hostel was my first experience on the platform and I have nothing but praise; I wasn't mistreated, I was treated with a lot of respect and warmly received, it's a very family-like, cheerful and hospitable place.. I loved staying there, I confess that on my days off I would disappear because I fell in love during the trip with a man from Pará, but I always kept to my schedule, I was the queen of cleaning, besides helping with the production of marmitas, which is a parallel business there 💕💕

Words can't describe how special my time at Belém Hostel was. I connected a lot with the people, I learned a lot from them. I was captivated by Belém's cultural richness and by the way the hostel's team, especially André, goes to great lengths to ensure a real cultural immersion for the volunteers. The hostel has a super relaxed vibe and the people are very fun and loving, a very welcoming space for any kind of person.
