The Experience

We run a small alpine hut with a bar and livestock care as a two-person team. For help in the kitchen during operation and in preparing for serving on the open days (Thu–Sun), we welcome motivated people who would like to gain an insight into alpine life. Because our hut is very small, we cannot accommodate couples, unless you arrive with a camper.

I had a wonderful time at the Ochsenwaldalm! Ida and Julia are super nice and open, and I felt instantly at ease! I could learn so much and had a lot of fun with the work, which was distributed very fairly. There was also plenty of time for hiking; the region is beautiful!
For people who enjoy secluded quiet places, I would definitely recommend a stay.
Looking forward to coming back and thanks for the great experience!
