Carol and Raul were great hosts, including me in recreational activities and taking me to local beaches. Regarding the work, they kept to the agreed schedule, but there were some difficulties; the room where I did the painting was completely burned due to the fumigation activities that the original owner carried out. Ideally, the wall should be sanded all over with a circular sander, the loose plaster removed, and new filler applied in those spots; although Carol and Raul did not require perfect work, it was a bit frustrating not to be able to complete this job.

The experience with Carol and Raul was very lovely; they made me feel comfortable and welcome from the very first moment. The tasks were adaptable, the number of hours was respected, and the schedules were flexible. Carol and Raul created an atmosphere of friendship where we could share outings, plans inside the house, meals; it was a true cultural exchange. The house is a little far from the city center and the beaches, but about 800 meters away there is a bus stop with good frequency, so we could visit many places. It was a very positive experience, I will definitely come back! Thank you 🧡

Since we arrived, Carol and Raul made us feel at home, with warmth and communication. The tasks were agreed from the beginning and the living together was wonderful.
They really showed us how to live sustainably in the environment, and being teachers we were able to get to know the culture and the context more closely in rural areas.

Our stop at Carol and Raul's house was wonderful. They are very affectionate people, they took care of us with a lot of affection and made us feel at home.
The tasks are very light, the house is very comfortable and living with them and with the kittens was great.
If you are looking for a quiet stay, in the middle of nature, this volunteering is perfect.
No doubt, the best thing about this exchange was gaining the friendship of Carol and Raul. Thank you for the affection, for the care, for the sensitivity and for the laughter.
