The Experience

Hello, traveler! 🌊 We are one of the first hostels in the loveliest area of Máncora. We are not a luxury resort, but an authentic space with the '3B' concept designed by and for backpackers. Today we want to revive our big garden, paint, and do repairs so it shines again. In exchange for your help, you will share with other travelers in a comfortable four-bed room. Join our community and leave your mark in paradise!

This was my first volunteering experience, and unfortunately it was disappointing. There was very little communication between Denis, the owner, and the manager, so expectations were unclear. Although the agreement was 5 hours of work, it felt like the owner expected a full-time cleaner rather than a volunteer. Instead of addressing concerns directly, she spoke behind volunteers' backs. Also, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, making remote work difficult. It did not work out for me.

Hello Brenda, we are sorry about your experience at La Posada.
As part of your volunteering, it has ended that way.
This experience, although bad, helps us improve as hosts.
On behalf of the staff who work at Hostal La Posada.
We apologize.

Nice place, good bed. The tasks they gave us were tough, but they were completed without any problems. We never worked more than the agreed hours. They treated us well as volunteers

My experience at the pousada was very good. The hostel is beautiful and super relaxing. The tasks can be heavy and there is a lot to do, so it is key to maintain communication and be clear from the beginning. Rafael and Dennis were very friendly. I supported even more than what I was asked to do, by my own decision. I also left all the laundry in order, so if you go, please maintain that order, since there are many rooms and organization is needed.
