The Experience

The job is super easy. Most products are ready for the breakfast. You don`t have to cook. We cook only omlets. It is a basic Turkish breakfast The most of products are organic. The volunteers cut the veggies and serve for the guests. Breakfast starts at 9 am till 10 am We have a garden and there are lots of palnts in the pots. They need to be watered everyday. There are two cats and few chickens and fishes in the pond. They need to be feeded.

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the hostel. Both Ahmet and Çoşku were very helpful and kind. They were generous and willing to give me suggestions of activities, and even celebrated my birthday with me. This was my first solo travel experience and they made me feel so welcome both at the hostel and in the city of Izmir. The work was challenging but fair and the accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious as well, and I would highly recommend the hostel to any prospective volunteers.
