Program Details
The goal of this volunteer program is to create lifelong bonds by sharing experiences, cultures, and laughter. We are not looking for a worker, we are looking for a companion who will make our lives easier and help us achieve our dream home 🪄.
Depending on our schedule, we may be available to pick you up in Pozo de Guadalajara (the closest urban area to where we live) or Azuqueca de Henares. Otherwise, you can get our house by public transport.
You can communicate with us in English, Spanish or Italian 🗣️
We have two guest rooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, completely available for volunteers.
We are currently only accepting girls.
We look forward to welcoming new Worldpackers!
NOTE 1: We appreciate honesty and closeness, so we will decline AI-written applications and uncomplete profiles. If you read this, please write on the application "I read NOTE 1 and I agree".
NOTE 2: We live on the outskirts, so transportation is limited. If you want to go to the center of Madrid, there is a bus next to our house that takes you to Guadalajara (1 hour), and in Guadalajara you have to take another bus to Madrid (another hour). But we can also arrange to drive you to the train station in Alcalá de Henares; however, keep in mind that we have very busy lives.
Activities & Shift
This programme is designed to involve three hours of work early in the morning and two hours in the afternoon.
Morning shift:
Daily tasks include taking out rubbish and compost, cleaning bins, walking the dog, and watering the garden (spring/summer only). Additional occasional tasks may include laundry, dishwasher loading, bed making, and cleaning upstairs areas of the house.
Evening shift:
Daily tasks include general cleaning of the ground floor, setting and clearing the dinner table, loading the dishwasher, and cleaning the kitchen. Other occasional duties may include deep cleaning and patio sweeping.
You can have whatever we have for breakfast at home ☕ at the time you desire. Lunch and dinner will be prepared either by Jorge or by me (Carmen), and volunteers are welcome to join us for whatever we’ve cooked, or they can prepare their own meals. If you decide to join us, we usually have lunch at 14:00 and dinner between 20:30 and 22:00.
In between your volunteer shifts, you will have complete freedom to enjoy your time, and on weekends you can join our plans—we always try to do something fun! 🎉

DRUGS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED 🚫.
Whatever you use in the kitchen, please clean it and put it away.
