What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Program Details
The Ugshapamba Pollinator Sanctuary is a regenerative conservation initiative in Machachi, Ecuador, dedicated to restoring habitat for bees, butterflies, and other native pollinators. Through Worldpackers, volunteers can join this mission by supporting ecological restoration, planting and caring for native flowering species, assisting with environmental education activities, contributing to research and monitoring efforts, and participating in community engagement projects. This hands-on experience allows travelers to learn about conservation, sustainable land management, and pollinator protection while making a meaningful contribution to local biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
Activities & Shift
Daily Activities
Forest care: Participate in regeneration by planting, digging, mulching, pruning, and maintaining healthy growth 1 hectare of forest.
Garden work: Support the vegetable garden with planting, weeding, and nurturing crops.
Schedule
Morning (3 hours):Forest regeneration — planting, digging, mulching, pruning.
Afternoon (2 hour): Garden and trail care — tending crops, marking trees and paths.
We will be starting gardens.
