Program Details

At Casa Pura Vida, volunteering is more than helping with daily tasks. It is an opportunity to become part of a long-term conservation project where nature, birds, gardens, and travelers come together.

For more than ten years, we have been planting trees, fruit trees, and flowers to create habitat for local bird species. Today, our property welcomes cyclists, campers, birdwatchers, and travelers seeking a peaceful connection with nature.

Your contribution may include gardening, planting, watering, light maintenance, and helping us keep the campsite clean and welcoming. In return, you'll enjoy mountain views, fresh air, local culture, and the experience of living in one of Peru's most beautiful valleys.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers help 5 days per week, around 4 to 5 hours per day. Most activities take place outdoors and may include gardening, planting, watering, caring for trees, fruit trees and flowers, keeping the campsite clean and welcoming, light maintenance, painting, small repairs, and improving common areas.

The usual shift is in the morning, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. However, we can be flexible with schedules, especially when volunteers have the opportunity to join excursions or explore the area during their stay.

Volunteers stay in a tent at Casa Pura Vida, surrounded by nature. Breakfast is included. For lunch and dinner, volunteers will have access to the kitchen at Casona Lara while we finish setting up a kitchen at Casa Pura Vida.

We are looking for people who enjoy nature, outdoor work, camping, simple living, and peaceful Andean surroundings.

Minimum stay: 1 month.
