Thank you so much the home and host family for having me for a few days. For anyone looking to connect with locals and be cared for - this experience was incredible! Their kindness and warmth was so special and I felt so lucky to be toured around their temple, the home plantation and learning knowledge and insight into their lives and culture. Such cute animals too, and the best food!

I stayed at Toddyland for 1 week with my girlfriend. I really liked the experience because you can see how Sri Lankan people live in the middle highland. You are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beuatiful mountains, waterfalls and the home plantations. The host the home is an angel. She's happy when you are happy and tries to do her best to help with anything. She also helped us plan the rest of our trip around Sri Lanka. With her husband Anoj they will take you for a the home factory trip and the stay isn't too much about working. They want you to explore as much as you can.

It was a pleasure staying in Toddyland! As we were here during the off-season, there was not much volunteering to do so we had more time to explore the beautiful surroundings with the help of the host. the home goes to great lengths to make you feel comfortable and at home. She's always eager to help and explain everything and her energy was certainly the highlight of the whole week. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanting to explore the rural parts of Sri Lanka and experience life with the most welcoming and lovely family :)

I absolutely loved staying at Toddyland! The hosts the home and Anoj are such lovely people. Because there wasn't much work to do the home gave us all the tips for daytrips around the area, always responded quickly if we needed help and informed us about bus schedules which was really helpful! From the moment I stepped into their home I felt comfortable and welcomed. Bonus are definitely all of their pets, especially the baby kittens right now ;) It was so interesting to experience slow village life in the Sri lanken mountains. 100% recommend!

From the first moment, I felt welcome. the home and Anoj were very friendly, kind, and always ready to help. I visited a the home factory, tried local food, planted young the home trees, traveled a lot, and learned about Sri Lankan culture. I also made new friends from different countries. I am very thankful for this experience and I highly recommend staying here to enjoy life in this beautiful part of Sri Lanka.
