Stay at our hostel, just 20 meters from our surfboard repair workshop and 30 meters from Tamarindo Beach. This program is designed for volunteers staying 4–6 weeks, giving enough time to learn the complete surfboard repair process. You'll receive hands-on training in materials, resins, fiberglass, sanding, laminating, painting, and repair techniques while working alongside experienced repairers. Volunteers contribute 4–5 hours per day. A USD 25 daily fee helps cover accommodation, typical Costa Rican breakfast every morning, basic utilities, repair materials, and the training provided.
Workshop hours are generally between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., but the schedule is flexible and often adjusted to the surf conditions and tides. We encourage volunteers to enjoy the waves whenever possible, and if the best surf is early in the morning, work can start later. The goal is to create a relaxed experience where you can both learn a valuable skill and make the most of your time surfing in Tamarindo.
