I've had an unforgettable experience with an Indigenous family in the Amazon. They have all treated me well, and it has been a very beautiful cultural exchange. Obviously, the conditions are very different for someone used to living in the city, but you are in close contact with nature and with an Indigenous culture from which you can learn many lessons. You can learn a lot about medicinal plants, traditions, crafts, hunting, fishing, and much more. I hope to be able to return someday and see them all again. Thanks again, see you later!

It was a very beautiful and pleasant experience, especially because Franco's family always welcomed us in a kind way, making us feel like part of their family. Franco always looked for ways to make us feel comfortable and help us with everything; what you live there is more than a volunteering experience; for me, I can say it was a spiritual retreat because that's when you really connect with nature, I am absolutely grateful to Franco and his family for having welcomed me and for teaching me about their incredible Amazonian culture 💗

There are places that are not only visited, but felt... and the Santiak Reserve community is one of them. Its people, its food and its essence are full of life and warmth, where every corner holds beautiful memories. A place that stays in the heart. No doubt, an experience I would relive.
If you decide to visit it, go prepared: a flashlight, insect repellent, and what you need for your safety, since it is a remote area. And if it arises from you, you can bring clothes, flashlights, etc to share with the community. It is a place where its people offer much more than what one could give.

I loved the experience; you won't be able to experience it anywhere else.

Tip: be proactive and helpful and you'll always have something to do! Go with an open mind—it's the jungle and there are plenty of insects and animals; you'll bathe in the river, the bathroom is a latrine, sleep in a tent.

Some activities: hunting, jungle hikes, fishing, helping in the kitchen, planting and harvesting, playing sports, etc.

I recommend: insect repellent, long sleeves and quick-dry pants, hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, water bottle.

It's a safe place; the community is very friendly.

I wholeheartedly recommend this jungle volunteer experience to anyone seeking an authentic and transformative experience. Franco and his family welcomed me with immense warmth, always attentive to ensuring nothing was missing and making me feel part of their home from the first day. The schedules and meals were respected at all times; the activities teach you about the jungle, I tasted many foods, connected with nature. There were also games and a lot of interaction with the children; I shared, learned, I fell in love with the jungle and its inhabitants, I will carry them in my heart forever. I recommend it!

My experience in the Santiak Reserve community was truly unforgettable. It is a beautiful, tranquil place, ideal for disconnecting from stimuli; it invites you to feel lighter and connect deeply with the way of life of the community, bonds of affection are formed toward the members who make up the project!
As a constructive suggestion, I believe that volunteering could be strengthened by incorporating more tasks and activities for volunteers so that the project continues to grow.
Undoubtedly a very valuable, unique and recommendable experience!

I am leaving very happy and grateful for the experience that Franco and his family gave us. All the people were kind and share everything they have. It is a space where you can learn and connect with nature. I hope I can return and contribute more to this great initiative. If you go, remember that you can support the community with whatever you deem appropriate, and don't forget Franco's recommendations; each and every one of them is important to follow. Thank you, thank you for this wonderful experience and for the warm welcome I received.
