Amazing experience, 100% recommended! Managers Rulo and Irina are warm, attentive and genuinely supportive throughout. The kitchen work is simple and beginner-friendly, and the staff, especially Junior and Melva, are lovely. I also met incredible fellow volunteers which made it all even more special.
Accommodation is fine and practical. Note that the town is far on foot, but the bus is cheap and easy.
Only minor note: one staff member could occasionally come across as a bit cold, but nothing major given how welcoming everyone else is.

My stay in Bocas del Toro was incredible, especially thanks to the beauty of the place and the exceptional kindness of the locals. The experience is very authentic, even if the accommodation remains quite rustic, which is important to know before coming. My only downside concerns the agreement with one of the referring volunteers on site, whose behavior with my friend and me has not always been at the top. Despite this, the meetings and the setting made this volunteering memorable!

I volunteered for almost 4 weeks at the lodge and I really loved it! The hostel and the people there are lovely and very welcoming. The work is easy and chill and you learn a lot about cooking and also improve your Spanish skills since the locals don't speak English. Even though the place is a bit further from the city there are buses and taxis, so it's no problem. So I really loved the experience, I met wonderful people, they made it feel like home and became a little family. If you think about doing it, do it. Thank you for everything!

I had an amazing stay at the lodge. The people working there are all so kind, and the tasks are really easy and enjoyable. I just felt at home ❤️ It was a little bit far away from the town, so it is great to reconnect with nature, see the wildlife…. but it's also easy to go to town, with taxis or buses, and enjoy the party life of Bocas del Toro ;)

My experience at Teroso the lodge was perfect in every way. The kitchen tasks are simple, and the schedule is ideal for enjoying Bocas del Toro. The hotel is a bit outside the town center, but you just need to take the bus to get there. The whole team was wonderful, and I felt completely comfortable in this place and with them. I recommend this volunteering experience to anyone who loves nature: a toucan comes to the hotel every day, and you can easily see sloths and monkeys as well. I recommend it 100%. Thank you to the whole team!

It was great having Amaia as a volunteer, she’s very friendly, super professional and responsible, learns fast and always has good energy.
She speaks good spanish, also english, and was very nice and attentive with guests at all times.

As everyone states it is far from town but if you know that in advance it is a great place to stay and work! Both the managers Rulo and Irina were so kind and welcoming! The work was exactly as promised, sometimes we even got off early. You are mainly working in the kitchen for breakfast or dinner shift and I personally looked forward to the shifts. You even get to learn some recipes! If you are a surfer, or even just enjoy beaches, this is a great location as you are in walking distance of Bluff, Dumpers and Paunch. Definitely ideal if you are looking to take in the natural beauty of Bocas.

We had a really nice time at the lodge. It's a beautiful place where you can see some sloths, monkeys or the toucan Rio. Most of the time we helped with cooking and baking. It's also a nice place to upgrade your Spanish a bit :) One of the managers also took us the some places in town, and making us feel welcome! I do recommend renting a scooter since the place is far out of town and taxis are expensive. It gives you more freedom to go to the town/beaches. Thank you for this experience!

Being on the island was peaceful and grounding. The work was mostly independent—painting, keeping busy, and soaking in the quiet surroundings. It's a good opportunity if you're looking for a calm, nature-filled environment. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys solitude and simple living.

I had a great stay at the lodge. The managers and owners are super welcoming and helpful and good fun to work with. I did a mix of helping in the kitchen and painting the rooms, and the hours agreed on are respected. The volunteer house is nice, although could do with a bit of work, it's just really great having a whole house to share with the other volunteers. Just be mindful that you're far from the main town ! Although having the beach so close is worth it. I'd really recommend this work exchange and had a fantastic time :)

I had a great experience at the lodge. The work was as described and the hours were always respected. If you wanted to change your free day it was no problem. The owners and managers were very nice and helpful. You could always talk to them about anything. Rulo would also go to town with us and show us local culture and even went see a leatherback turtle lay eggs. My highlight of the whole stay. In general I would really recommend to stay here if you wanted to see wildlife. I saw monkeys, sloths, the hotel tucan Rio, mantas and even a shark while snorkelling at the property
