The Experience

Hello! We are in a central location, convenient for visiting various museums and Venetian villas, and for exploring small characteristic towns, about an hour by public transport from Venice, Padua, and Treviso. I need help with homework, sports, and possibly music for my 14-year-old son. Help with cleaning and meal preparation. I request about 4 hours per day for 6 days a week; you will have 1 day off per week. We look forward to welcoming you. Thank you

This whole trip was great. This place is freaking beautiful. The house is nice and host is great. It felt like I am spending vacation at grandma's place. The only problem was I was the only volunteer there and the family don't speck English so it felt a bit lonely. But on the other hand I learnt a little bit of Italian so it's well and good.

Thank you Paola, Pierliugi and Giovanni for letting me stay here at the beautiful part of Veneto at the foot of the Alps. I felt very welcomed here, food bought for you, kitchen to yourself and not too much is asked of you in the day just 4 hours. Sometimes house work sometimes manual work in the garden, the animals keep you company. No one speaks english so it is good for learning Italian, you may be asked to teach Giovanni some English :). Apply if you want to spend some time with warm people and on a beautiful piece of earth

From the moment I arrived until I left, I was treated with a lot of hospitality. Paola welcomed me together with her family, their pets, and their trees. The work was gardening and helping with chores. I enjoyed it because I love nature and I hope to have my little garden someday.

I got to know nearby towns and cities (I love to walk a LOT). I recommend bringing warm clothes for the nights and noting that there is no wifi. It's an ideal place to disconnect.

I leave very grateful for the comfort, shared moments, and the tranquility of my days among the mountains.

Thank you very much Paola, a big hug🫂

Paola's home is a very special home; I learned a lot from the planting and pruning work during that late-winter season. I practiced Italian, because in the family no one speaks another language, except Giovanni (son) - I had the opportunity to work on a mural on the facade of her house, it was amazing to be able to leave my art. I did many hikes. I recommend it if you are self-sufficient for hiking and enjoy connecting with nature, lots of birdsong (I love it)!
