The Experience

Join our family for autumn prep at our mountain farm in Uvdal. The main focus is outdoor physical work preparing and stacking firewood for winter, or indoor painting on rainy days. Our two sons, who are 16 and 17, have their school holiday, so the whole family will be together with Helen and Ken. You have a private bedroom and a shared bathroom. Great internet, sauna access, shared family meals, and mountain hiking right outside are all included.

This was my first volunteering experience and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better one! Helen and Ken are such wonderful people - open, genuine and kind. From the very beginning, they made me feel welcome and part of the family. The work could be physically demanding at times, but it was manageable, and Helen and Ken were always ready to help. I would recommend this experience and this wonderful family to everyone. Thank you, Helen, Ken, Leander and Mathias for making my first volunteering experience so special and unforgettable. The host Helen and Ken are such wonderful and kind couple. It was a deeply enriching experience for me in every aspect. I had the chance to experience the local costumes within a very positive family environment and also to share my own experiences and skills with them. The atmosphere is incredible pleasant. The location is beautiful in every way, and I felt completely at ease with the activities I undertook and the way I was treated.
