Program Details

Join our Monthly Volunteer Expedition at Umoja Children’s Home in Kenya, a unique group volunteering experience combining meaningful community service, cultural exchange, adventure and safari.

This program is designed for volunteers who want to make a positive contribution while experiencing authentic Kenyan life. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of two weeks and join a scheduled expedition with fixed arrival and departure dates.

Each expedition accommodates 4 – 20 volunteers arriving and departing together. Working as a team, volunteers participate in activities such as supporting children's education, sports and recreational activities, farming, environmental initiatives, creative activities, skills sharing, community engagement and projects that support the children's home.

Beyond volunteering, the expedition provides opportunities to experience Kenyan culture, local food, community life and wildlife, with safari and other excursions incorporated into the program depending on the expedition schedule.

This is more than a volunteer placement, it is an opportunity to serve with purpose, build international friendships, experience Kenya and create lasting memories while contributing to the lives of vulnerable children.

You can apply to any dates with flexibility across the month you are applying for and we will share a planned schedule and itinerary for the expedition.

Activities & Shift

An itinerary of the volunteer expedition will be shared upon confirmation of stay.
