The main purpose of this program is to experience Langkawi from the inside, become part of the Sihatea Kombucha community, and help us share the island with more people.
As a Sihatea & Langkawi Ambassador, you’ll explore the island, meet locals and travellers, discover hidden places, attend events, connect with different communities, and experience the natural beauty and laid-back lifestyle of Langkawi.
While exploring, you’ll naturally represent Sihatea. You’ll create photos and videos, share your experiences, introduce people to kombucha, and help build awareness of the brand through genuine interactions rather than hard selling.
You’ll also spend some time helping with Sihatea behind the scenes. This includes learning the full kombucha production process at our brewery, helping with online engagement from my home office, and contributing to content, events and other creative projects.
Depending on what’s happening around the island, you may also represent Sihatea at community projects, beach cleanups, charity initiatives, local events and other activities. There may occasionally be practical things to help with too, such as carrying equipment, moving furniture or helping set something up etc...
Outside of these activities, your time is your own. Explore, swim, cook, meet people, work on your own projects, relax or simply see where the day takes you. We’ll do our best to point you towards the best places to visit, interesting things happening around the island, and local deals that can help you keep your costs down.
We’re looking for sociable, curious and open-minded people who enjoy meeting others, trying new things and bringing positive energy wherever they go.

There is no rigid daily schedule, but there are a few regular commitments.
One day a week (Fridays) — Brewery Day
Every Friday, you’ll visit the Sihatea Kombucha brewery. You’ll learn how our kombucha is made, see and be part of the full production process and understand the story behind the brand. This gives you a proper understanding of what you are representing. 4-5 hours work day.
One day a week (Thursdays) — Home Office Day
You’ll spend time at my home office getting briefed, helping with online engagement and transferring the content materials. This can include finding and responding naturally to Langkawi-related posts and conversations, sharing information, helping people discover Sihatea and generally building our presence within the online Langkawi community. 4-5 hours work day.
The rest of the week — Go Explore!
The rest of your time is about getting out into Langkawi. Explore beaches, waterfalls, villages, food spots, nature, local hangouts and places you discover yourself. Meet locals and other travellers, go to events, make friends and experience the island.
Scooter: You should know how to ride a scooter, or be genuinely willing to learn. You’ll need to rent your own scooter for getting around.
Commitment: Please apply only for the period you can genuinely commit to. Extensions can be discussed.
Punctuality: Be on time when we agree on a time.
Planning: Most flexible tasks and activities will be discussed on Thursday, with at least 24 hours’ notice for any help needed outside the regular Thursday office and Friday brewery days.
Apartment: The apartment is your base, so keep it clean, respect the shared space and be considerate of others.
Budget: Please have enough personal budget to actually experience Langkawi. This program is for people who want to explore, exchange cultures, go out, meet people, socialise and participate in island life, rather than staying home every day to save money.
Social: Be keen to meet people, make friends and naturally integrate into the Langkawi community. Sociability and good energy are a big part of the experience.
