The Experience

We are wanting to paint our apartment in March April of 2027. This is simple painting, which we can help with. However we have a staircase, only one level and this would benefit from some artistic contribution. Would you like to put your stamp on a Scottish Home? Open to suggestions. We are creative, lighting designers and crafting family. Happy to share techniques, lots of conversations and time to enjoy a perfect place in Scotland

Catrina and Gordon are one of the most generous, welcoming couples we have met. They are friendly and inviting, and volunteering with them was a great experience. They had two sweet dogs we enjoyed taking care of when our hosts were away.
We mainly helped with organising the garage so that work could be done in it, and it satisfying to see the improvement. We had pleanty of free time, excellent meals and conversations, exchanging ideas, stories and laughs. Our room was comfortable and the town was nice and had a great park to run, and good transportation to Perth and Stirling.

Catrina and Gordon are wonderful host: kind, generous and very welcoming. They were flexible with the schedule and days off, and workload always stayed within the expected hours.
Catrina knows a lot about the local history and culture and gave me many great recommendations. Thanks to her, I also had the chance to experience local events such as the Highland Games.
My room was lovely and very comfortable, and the location in Crieff is very convenient for exploring the area. I am very grateful to both of them for their hospitality and for make me feel so welcome.

We had a lovely time in Crieff with Catrina and Gordon. They made us feel very welcome, and their kindness and hospitality made our stay really special. We also really appreciated the flexibility with our volunteering hours, which helped us a lot. Jacob and Leo were lovely too, such friendly and affectionate dogs! Thank you for making us feel so at home.

We had an amazing experience with Gordon and Catrina. From the first day, we were received with great affection and we really felt part of the family.

They shared with us stories about Scottish culture, the family and the building, making the experience even more special. The food is wonderful, and the cappuccino was the best I've ever had in my life! The schedules were flexible, and the dogs are simply adorable.

We are very grateful to Catrina, Gordon and the whole family for receiving us so well. We highly recommend this volunteering!
