There is a lot of vegetarian food provided and you can use many fruits and vegetables from the garden as well. I learned a lot about permaculture and organic farming, and got to practice my Portuguese and Spanish a lot! They also have a very refreshing outdoor natural pool with a waterfall right next to the house! The accommodation is spacious and cozy as well. Highly recommend this place, it truly is magical!

The farm is a magical and beautiful place, the guesthouse is well organized to welcome many volunteers. Jan and Thina are an excellent couple who give a lot of love and affection. It's the second time I volunteer here and I would do a third one 😊. I can't say anything negative, I only hope that whoever is reading my review and goes to volunteer there values the place and the people who inhabit it, since there is no other place like it and other people as charming as those there ❤️

Our experience at Montanha Mágica was very special. Tina and Jean are warm, attentive hosts who make everyone feel at home. The work was intense but organized, with tasks explained and distributed in a balanced way. They respected my limits and guided the activities according to my possibilities, while Cristiano could contribute with his electrical knowledge. Besides volunteering, we shared unforgettable moments around the campfire, cooked together, listened to poetry, learned new recipes and made friendships that we will carry with us for life. ❤️

This was my first volunteering experience, and I was lucky to be at the Magic Mountain. Jan, Thina, Léo and Joana fully understand the role of volunteering. It was an experience of pure respect and collaboration. We stayed with ten volunteers at the house, with vegetarian meals, bed linens and blankets, Internet, and all the resources offered to bring us as much comfort as possible. We worked five hours a day, where we learned how to take care of the soil, how to plant, how to handle tools, how to take care of the place, in addition to the thousands of recipes we learned together. Three weeks in the magical mountain where a family was formed; Jam and Thina are such sweethearts. Jam is an incredible poet and Thina a wonderful cook. The energy there was so amazing that tasks were always done with a lot of humor. I learned a lot about composting and I fulfilled my dream of milking the neighbor's cow. I also learned how to make concrete mix, and those were amazing days that I will always cherish with lots of love. Jam, despite their age, always participated in the activities with us. This place has been totally transformative for me. Jan and Tina are beacons of light, incredibly wise and wonderful. Always teaching from love. Joana and Leo have always been available to share and help with everything. The knowledge about permaculture was only a small part of how mentally nourishing this place has been thanks to all of them. Jan and Thina are an inspiration for living well. The plan to make the site self-sustaining is very beautiful. And the place is already a paradise: mountains, sunset, waterfalls. I was lucky to find there a very special group of volunteers; I hold a huge affection for everyone. And this good energy is transmitted also by the hosts: delicious conversations, vegan meals that make your mouth water, music and dance around a campfire, sofas spread around the site to encourage immersion in nature. The work hours were respected and I learned a lot about construction during my time there.

Words are not enough to describe the experiences I've lived, and the magical mountain was a pleasant surprise, not only because the hosts Jan and Thina made that time together a real family, and for all the vast knowledge shared; but also the volunteers who were with me during that period, about 10 people, living in harmony inside a house (very comfortable, I must say) and with all the differences we managed to share wonderful moments together.
