I was part of the first Wordpackers Team at the eco village and would say that it was a pleasure!!! Rafael and Sheylla are great hosts and made my stay perfect. They are very friendly and have a great sustainable project for the Sitio including permacuture, waste treatment, concious integration of human-forest and building methods not harmful to the environment, which made this experience life changing. The place is marvelous aligning the beauty of nature and beach. Definitely, I would recommend the eco village!

An ecovillage is a magnet for nice people. I have made several Brazilian and foreign friends. There are kayaks and boards to enjoy the surroundings, the river, and the beach. The food is natural.

Mi experiencia en la ecovila fue muy bonita. El lugar es precioso y cômodo. La playa de Itamambuca es especial. Tuve la suerte de conocer otras playas de la zona y fue maravilloso. Unfortunately Jordi, perhaps due to language barrier or some other limitation, was not able to read and understand all the descriptions of the values and agreements for volunteering, which are very clear and the person can choose to accept or not. As you can see in all the other comments we only have positive points about the hosts Rafael and Sheylla. Rafael is always very helpful in teaching and encouraging everyone to have new experiences, always making the volunteers feel comfortable in their areas of work. Jordi's statements are a complete lie; he did not run off, but was invited to withdraw, by a common decision of all the residents of the community for showing total disrespect and disconnection with the project. Just as all the statements about Rafa are a complete calumny, exactly the opposite of what actually happens here, and we have hundreds of volunteers with beautiful experiences who can confirm this.
Because of this absurdity, all the calumny and attempt at defamation, we are considering taking Jordi to court. And we kindly ask the Worldpackers team to remove Jordi's comment, which used this space unfairly. We urge all hosts on this platform not to accept this person as a volunteer in their projects. And that Worldpackers evaluate the continued involvement of a person who tries to calumniate and defame hosts.

A ecovila é um lugar que te abraça de um jeito que vira um lar, as pessoas são muito receptivas, a equipe muito competente e os anfitriões, Rafa e Sheylla, muito amistosos. No tempo que passei por aqui me desenvolvi muito como ser humano, aprendi muito sobre a natureza e nossa relação com ela, surf, a forma como lidamos com as pessoas e principalmente sobre audiovisual. Só tenho a agradecer por essa experiência e espero voltar mais vezes.

Passei duas semanas de muito aprendizado em bioconstrução e sustentabilidade na ecovila. Tive boas experiências e adquiri novos conhecimentos que levarei para minha vida pessoal e profissional. Agradeço aos anfitriões Rafael e Sheylla pela oportunidade de voluntariado oferecida e paciência em me ensinar. Foi ótimo passar esse tempo com todos. a ecovila é um lugar incrível, onde você tem total contato com a natureza e fácil acesso as praias da região norte de Ubatuba. Espero retornar um dia como hóspede.

A experiência no sítio foi muito boa! A Sheylla e o Rafa sempre estiveram nos ajudando, passando as tarefas diárias, e como executá-las. Aprendemos bastante sobre as construção de bambu e como lidar com o mesmo. Além do trabalho, o espaço é incrível, muito próximo à praia de Itamambuca, o que é ótimo! Podíamos trabalhar pela manhã e tomar uma cerveja na praia a tarde! :D
