The guesthouse and location is lovely. I will miss this family and the pets. I learned a lot about Tico culture and perfect opportunity to improve my Espanol. I will definitely visit you again XO

Casa Vistas became a family to me. Jose Carlos’s parents are the sweetest, most wonderful people I have ever met. They made delicious food and treated me like their own family. The other Worldpackers were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in teaching me the way the business worked because it was my first time Worldpacking. Jose Carlos is a top notch host, understanding individuals and building an environment with Worldpackers that is free spirited and calming. Being accepted to Casa Vistas was a gift. I’ll never forget my time there and I highly recommend it to everyone Worldpacking to CR!

Jose is so very sweet, and so is his mom and dad who are very loving and caring and take you in and treat you like family. (: The experience was great and Jose was very accommodating to some of the emotional struggles a fellow world packers and I were going through at the time. I highly recommend this place

Vistas del Conde is a beautiful place to stay & Jose is wonderful. It is still a "work in progress" which is exciting. As of December there was renovation underway (additional rooms, landscaping). It was easy for me to get around (UBER as well as a local bus to town) & I had my own room (shared bath with long-term guests). I fell in love with Ana and Carlos, the parents of the hotel owner, Jose. They treated me like a daughter and I enjoyed our time together. My only regret is not being fluent in Spanish because less locals then I thought spoke English. Thank goodness for Google translate.

My time in the hotel was amazing! My host and his family took care of me all the time, they made me feel part of the family. I had opportunity of live their culture from the inside...
Jose Carlos was really flexible with my schedule so I had time to travel around. We also recomend me many places to visit and how to get there.
Monte de la Cruz is a wonderful place in the mountain. There are many places to hike, exercise and meditate. There is also a volcano, a lagoon and some cool green places to take pictures.
I highly recommend this place to experience the "ticos" culture.
Pura vida!
