Hi Potential volunteer I'm hoping to find some genuine helpful volunteers to support our non profit non income project during a time of change. We have just had a completely unexpected last minute cancellation & are looking for a volunteer immediately
You will be involved in helping with the daily care of - 34 ponies (watering, mucking out pooh picking & caring for) & also 17 rescue cats , 4 rescue dogs , an old eccentric goat & some chickens.
24 hours of help per week
Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

In the summer months you will either work a morning shift with an hours break for breakfast OR an afternoon/evening. The rest of the day free to explore.
In Spring ,winter and Autumn we operate a split shift 3.5 hours in the morning......Free time ...Then 1 hour work in the afternoon.
Helping pooh pick pony fields, grooming , helping with medical treatments and handling, sweeping yards and keeping farm tidy and clean, cleaning and filling up waters buckets and troughs, and daily care and support of well being of ponies and other animals here eg walking dogs, feeding cats, making sure these animals have clean water and bowls etc .
Time to explore the island everyday and watch the stars at night, to walk or hitch around and explore the safe beautiful landscape of Skyros island. beaches, countryside, pine forests, mountains, etc
