I had a wonderful time at the hostel as my first volunteering experience Shifts are 6.5 hours long and the tasks are easy. I had plenty of free time to explore both Braga and the near towns and places. The team dorms are located in the basement. This is a huge plus during hot summer days, but it gets quite cold at night, so bring warm clothes. Nelson was a great host—very kind, reliable, and true to his word. There were occasional minor communication hiccups, but Nelson always made it clear that we could reach out immediately if anything came. I met incredible people and enjoyed every day!

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer and it was amazing. I spent a really nice time there with lovely people. Braga is very well located so trips to other cities like Guimarães, Porto, Aveiro or even Lisbon are very frequent and affordable. The only thing that is a little bit more complicated is getting to the beach by the ocean or to the mountains by public transport. But apart from that, work at the hostel is chill and allows you to travel a lot. Nelson is a really nice host. He took good care of the volunteers and presented us with a bit of local culture✨

Nelson was a nice host who welcomed us with a positiv energy instantly! The place where you're staying is so nice, since you have your own "area" and can have some privacy. Also braga is a really cool city with lots of things to do!! So we would definitly recommend this place and are thankful for all the people we met there😚

Nelson is a great person, and the tasks he asks for are simple and easy to learn.
The only thing that could be better is the communication before arrival, some details about the listing were a bit different in real life. They were not huge issues, but having clearer information beforehand would help future volunteers arrive more prepared.
Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay and I'm happy with the time spent here!

Everyone was very kind, and I had an amazing stay in Braga. The people were all wonderful, and the tasks are not difficult. Nelson is a very patient and friendly guy. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The only thing I was expecting was that there would be more people there in the hostel.

It was my first time volunteering in the hostel. Everyone was kind and explained very well, so I was able to adept well. The atmosphere was not bad but at the first time was a bit different what I expected, but eventually I could seep into it, but I hoped that I cloud get bigger room same times. However I'd like to say that I felt appreciated to help me to get nice experience in the Portugal

As my first Worldpackers experience, I was very happy with it! Nelson was always kind and available whenever I needed help. The tasks are not difficult and the working hours are flexible while still being respected overall. Braga is a nice city — not too big, but very pleasant to live in. The hostel is calm (probably also because it wasn't high season), but it still has a nice atmosphere and it's easy to connect and chat with other guests. Thanks again for the great experience!
