I had a wonderful time at the hostel as my first volunteering experience Shifts are 6.5 hours long and the tasks are easy. I had plenty of free time to explore both Braga and the near towns and places. The team dorms are located in the basement. This is a huge plus during hot summer days, but it gets quite cold at night, so bring warm clothes. Nelson was a great host—very kind, reliable, and true to his word. There were occasional minor communication hiccups, but Nelson always made it clear that we could reach out immediately if anything came. I met incredible people and enjoyed every day!

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer and it was amazing. I spent a really nice time there with lovely people. Braga is very well located so trips to other cities like Guimarães, Porto, Aveiro or even Lisbon are very frequent and affordable. The only thing that is a little bit more complicated is getting to the beach by the ocean or to the mountains by public transport. But apart from that, work at the hostel is chill and allows you to travel a lot. Nelson is a really nice host. He took good care of the volunteers and presented us with a bit of local culture✨

Nelson was a nice host who welcomed us with a positiv energy instantly! The place where you're staying is so nice, since you have your own "area" and can have some privacy. Also braga is a really cool city with lots of things to do!! So we would definitly recommend this place and are thankful for all the people we met there😚
