The experience

Spend your weekdays supporting the creation of our guesthouse, connect with our guests, organize events, paint walls, create marketing campaigns or help us run our social media. Spend weekends hiking and surfing the waves of the Atlantic ocean.
You can also help us run our social programs and projects like Football 4 Wash training with pupils, campaign for the human right of water or run our Wash Bus for the homeless people in the city.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Discounts on Parties: Get discounts at nearby parties and clubs.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate German

Between 21 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

You will work 25 / 30 hours a week in different departments and shifts weekly .
We want you if you can offer one of the following
- Photography, graphic artistry
- Yoga Classes
- Motivated to run awesome events at our hostel
- 21 years and older

Things we need help with:
- Helping at reception
- Helping the Bar
-interacting with the guests
- Bringing and keeping good and positive energy to our environment.

After the purposeful activity is done, you can spend weekends hiking Table Mountain, surfing the waves of the Atlantic ocean, or enjoying Cape Town's world-famous night life. The city is a melting pot for young people from all over the world, and you are bound to find yourself in the company of lifelong friends.

Activities & Shift


Cafe duties include: washing dishes, preparing the breakfast buffet and general cafe duties
Bar duties include: basic bar services and creating a fun vibe - we hope you love music because we do!
