It was a brief but cool experience. I wish I could go back again for a longer period and when Dimo is already working on some projects 🙌🏻✨ He was a very good host and has a lot of knowledge to share☺️

Don't! I do NOT recommend this for people who don't speak Bulgarian and also not for people who don't use. Especially if you're both, like me. Its a mismatch. I slept in the kitchen. There was no privacy at all, even the bathroom door has no lock. I did not feel safe. No communication, I had no idea what to do or what was expected. They only spoke Bulgarian to eachother and I felt very left out. Nothing to do in the area, there is 1 'bus' (van) that goes from Yasenovo to Kazanlak once a day. Other than that no public transport. I didn't feel good nor safe so I left.

Please don't come if you travel style is with suitcases, your main interest shopping and if you expect volounteering is something like couchsurfing...
Faya seemed very humble and closed person. We tried to communicate with her and integrate, the only things we could understand about her are exposed in the first sentence. I found qite passive agressive to have her staying in the room with her earplugs and scrolling on the phone insted having conversation with us.
Obviously there are people that don't appreciate our hospitality - good food, place to stay, bathroom etc...
Well after more than 10 years and more than 100 people joining the project there a few people that we didn't got along and I think it's fine. It's pity to hear all that things from Faya only from her comments here. Faya I would recommend you to speak your needs straight away. We've never guaranteed private room. Same time we had girl from Colombia saying for a month and having great time.
Wish you all the best Faya indeed I don't think we deserve such bad review.

This is a lovely place beside mountains and forest. The walks were fabulous. The work got me outdoors too which is what I sought and I had plenty of free time too. Food (vegetarian) was excellent and the work was light. The room and facilities were fine and the hosts, and their dog, were very accepting of my dog too!. Communication was inadequate and I always felt I was trying to fill in the gaps in between what I was told.

Volunteering here was the perfect way to immerse myself in Bulgarian culture, meet locals and learn about two things: 1) geodesic domes and 2) permaculture. If these are topics you're interested in I'd definitely recommend this experience!

It was incredible 🤩 I learned a lot with Dimo (and with the rest of the team too). He was an amazing host and let me totaly confortable. We were a good team there! Just good memories that I will bring with me forever. It was a different situation, most part of the time we were in other place, helping in a dome construction, but I'm sure it would be nice as well to stay in his place all the experience. Totaly recommend!!
