The experience

Our awesome Hostel has always been known for the amazing vibe we've managed to create & maintain for more than 14yrs now. We need truly energetic, passionate, fun people to help keep it going! Bring people to the beach during the day, and organize drinking games in the evenings & encouraging them to mingle & party. Organize sales to some of the world-famous clubs here in Cancun to take them out for the time of your (& their) lives!

What you offer

28 hours of help per week

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

3 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Requirements

Intermediate English and Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Entertainers have 7 shifts of 4h (28hrs) /week, in exchange for free accommodation, unlimited basic food (rice, pasta, lentils, oats, and pancake flour), and discounts at our bar! 🌮🍔🍻

Shifts are assigned every Sunday for the next week. We have a mandatory staff meeting every week about general communication, eventual changes, and problems if any.
You will have maintenance shifts to take a break from the alcohol and the party ;)

We will keep your passport during your stay with us for security reasons. The staff feels at home here and leaves their values on their bed. We don't want to take the risk that anyone can steal them/you/the hostel and be able to leave easily.
You'll obviously have it when needed ;)

Activities & Shift

The beach shift is from 11am to 3pm, and the entertainment shift is from 8pm - 12pm.
-Must be upbeat and unafraid to break the ice with humor or energy
-Help with the sales of tours and activities by letting travelers know what the plans are for the night
-Must be good at crowd control and getting people to participate in the evening activities
-Must be able to control their own drinking so it doesn’t interfere with their job obligations for the evening.
-Assist bar with sales and washing glassware if needed

As part of the team, you may be asked to help around with other evening tasks.
While this ad is for this particular shift, you will also have maintenance shifts to switch things up a bit during the week.

Rules

We are NOT a drug-friendly Hostel. Getting shitfaced is A-Ok, but on the legal stuff only. Anyone found with drugs will be asked to leave.
