I had such a great time volunteering at the hostel in Sarajevo! Ivan, the owner, was always there to help and made me feel welcome from day one. Great experience at the hostel, good mix between workers and volunteers, so there is always someone ready to explain to you the tasks and any concern you may have, the workers are also really nice people, make you feel welcome from the first moment, they won't take advantage of you for being the new or a volunteer. The hostel is located in the heart of the city so it is hard to find anything better than that, lot of places to see and convenient stores, it is run by Ivan, a lovely local, polite, communicative, fair and interesting to talk about different things, specially music. I had a wonderful time volunteering here! The location is perfect for exploring Sarajevo, and the hostel is clean and tidy. The work was really well-organized, we got our schedules in advance, and the tasks were easy. But honestly, the people are what made this experience so special. What a great experience! I came to Sarajevo because I really knew nothing about the city or country and I was quite curious. I was received very well from all the staff and the other volunteers. Ivan really runs a great hostel and takes pride in creating a cool space for travelers to meet and be introduced to Sarajevo and Bosnia. I stayed for a month and enjoyed it all. The work was good and simple, I spent the first couple weeks cleaning and making beds and then got to do reception in the evening. Sarajevo has a special place in my heart now and especially the hostel and everyone working
