Build gardens on our Jungle Island Property

7 reviews7

The Exchange

Fruit trees are ripe in April. It's a hot mostly dry climate, we have irrigated and need more above ground gardens. We have a computer with slow internet and power on our property but with only two cars are on the island, one dirt road separates two small fishing villages, 111 families. We are building the community and welcome visitors. We are excited to show you our paradise in progress. Come see and help us build!

Program Details

We pick you up with your well packed baggage in our Toyota 4x4 and drive forty minutes to our panga pickup, within forty minutes more you are in Isla Tasahera, where we surfers and yogis enjoy an island camp adventure on our one acre fruit tree property. The hostel is up and running and there is another on the other side of the island to visit too, but the real party is here. Rebecca, Santos and I have irrigated the acreage with over twenty water spouts and are encouraging travelers to pitch tents for long term stays on the most affordable island in Central America. Come make a garden while camping and enjoying the island village and don't forget about our nightly movies on our outdoor projector!

Activities & Shift

Surf is good at high tide and is a twenty minute walk or we can give you the dingy to ride which we must charge for but its only a few bucks round trip. You can also walk to the beach but the waves are best at high tide. From our property you are surfing in ten minutes. For yogi enthusiasts enjoy the deck on the river to enjoy your practice or head to the beach or stay right under our mango and coconut trees. Bugs are very few.
