My experience at Casa d'Alagoa was really good. The volunteers and guests were amazing and definitely I won't forget all the good times spent there. But it's true that at some point there were problems with the dinner and with some staff. The schedule and working hours could be better organized too. Other than that the hostel and its terraces are incredibly beautiful and I really enjoyed chilling there with other volunteers. I really want to thank Nuno and Diogo for the amazing experience.
I absolutely loved my time in Casa D'alagoa! The crew at the hostel are a warm and funny group of people. Faro is the most charming little town. Also, its such a short way from the rest of the Algarve as well as parts of Spain, that it's possible to travel if your leaves can be adjusted. There was a short discontent amongst the volunteers regarding the availability of meals, but apart from that, the entire experience was beautiful! This being my first volunteering experience, I learnt quite a bit about how hostels work, and what it takes to maintain one. I miss it already :)
Casa d'Alagoa - Faro Hostel is centrally located near Faro "Old Town", just a 5 minute walk from the marina and to some of Faro's most important monuments and museums. And remember the only deserted beach during the Summer in the Algarve is just 30 min. away by boat from Faro!About the host
