I really enjoyed my time at the guest house! It's absolutely beautiful up in the mountains and it really felt like you were getting a break from the chaos of big towns and cities. I was meant to stay for 2 weeks but ended up only being able to stay for 1 week due to personal reasons… Cristiano was super understanding though and very accomodating to these changes in dates. The work was fair and super straightforward, so no complaints there. Would definitely recommend to anybody who feels like getting off the grid and back in touch with nature :)

I want to thanks Cris and Marie for accepted me in the hostel, my experience was really fun, I met amazing people and made friendships, I went hikings and beautiful waterfalls, I loved the firepits moments where we gathered and played some random songs. The place and the hills views are amazing, I stayed in the hostel Roça in most of my stay in Delfim, there are a good structure and it's so peaceful. But keep it mind that you have to be proactive and have a nice communication for this kind of volluntter, because the hours and tasks are not fixed.

Cristiano made everything to make me comfortable and helped me find my way to the hostel. Even tho we were only 3 volunteers, we went on hikings, did some yoga classes for 55reals/class, went to see some waterfalls… We worked for 4-5 hours which honestly didn't feel like working ! We cleaned, painted the walls and did some diy. The people were extremely welcoming and friendly even tho I don't speak any Portuguese I already miss the puppies and the breathtaking landscape. Thank you for everything !!

It was a place where I connected - with the mountains, the animals, and especially the people I shared the space and tasks with. Whenever I needed to talk to Cris, I was always attended to with attention and kindness. The flexible work, calm tasks for those who love being in nature, taking care of the house and animals. I leave there feeling very grateful for the exchanges, the lessons, and the companionship. I already miss this special place.

The experience at the guest house is so exceptional that I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve returned!!😍 The place, the people, the animals… everything makes this little corner in the Serra da guest house become a magical place!! And having Cris as a master is a gift for those who experience this.

The learning is always mutual, I can only thank Nayam, who is always much more than a volunteer; he is a partner that I can hardly repay for his help and for his dedication to making our Oca stand out more than ever. It was admirable how he captured exactly what I planned for the Oca and turned it all into actions and words in our projects.
I don't even need to say that we'll always be happy to have him with us.

Besides being a beautiful place, there are many projects focused on volunteering; I felt very comfortable being able to help by doing what I love! We have plenty of free time to enjoy the city and many options for nature excursions 😊
It's a volunteering opportunity that I ended up staying longer than planned and would recommend it to everyone.

The experience is full of immersive and engaging activities. Cris and Nayam welcomed me very warmly and I felt at home from the very first day! The activities are relaxed and updated each week with a schedule that is discussed and agreed upon in advance. The community is highly participatory, and everyone is valued in the process, especially the local culture. My experience at guest house Roça was incredible, the communication was always good, with availability for exchanges if necessary, a good relationship with the host and the team, I learned about planting, animal care and I had plenty of contact with local residents, I will miss Léo and Lisa, I hope to return again someday! I recommend it to everyone who really likes nature and beautiful landscapes. Gratitude!
