I really enjoyed volunteering at the hostel! Although I only met the owner, Tamas, a few times, he was very kind and welcoming. The working hours were respected, the tasks were easy to manage, and I really appreciated the freedom to organize the cleaning in my own way. On my days off, I had plenty of time to explore Budapest and Pest County. I also met lovely people, including other travelers, and enjoyed playing games and hanging out together. Thanks so much for the opportunity! I would definitely love to come back in the future!

I actually ended up doing around 1 month at the host's other listing on the Balaton, then 2 months at the hostel in Budapest. It's hard to complain about either opportunity with the amount of work at each. At the Balaton, it was essentially just watering the plants daily and occasionally checking in guests. At the hostel, it's usually less than 2h/day of cleaning.
The owner is great, and I'm glad I did the less common opportunity first to be able to connect with him. The receptionist at the hostel isn't too warm, but not a bad guy. Get the month long Budapest or Hungary transit pass & explore

My experience at the hostel was really great. I spent 3 weeks,and from the first day the tasks were clear and precise. Nothing more is asked for than what is written. The homework is quiete easy,anyone can do it. In addition,you have a lot of free time. I think it's one of the most advantageous things compared to many others projects. The hostel is like a very calm and quiet house,you will love taking care of it and dedicating time to it. In addition,the owner is always available and ready to help you in case of need. What better to ask for? It was my first experience and it was beautiful

I sped the last month on the hostel. Is a nice place to be, close to bus and trams lines, you can explore the beautiful budapest on your days free or even during the week days, since the job only requires 2 hours of work a day.
The work is pretty basic, cleanning, puting trash away and keep the kitchen organizazed.
The place is quite small, so if you are a organized person and know how to do cleaning, you're going to be able to do it fast and good.
The hostes lets you free, provides the necessary materiais. I rigthly recomend the hostel as a place to be a volunteer.

I had a great experience at the hostel. The place was comfortable, and the manager really values quietness, which made it easy to relax. Tasks were simple and only took about 2 hours a day, with everything provided to complete them smoothly. The environment was super chill, no pressure at all, and I had full freedom to come and go. The manager answered any questions I needed and gave me the freedom to finish my tasks, and the tasks themselves are not hard, any one can do. Also the owner eas kind to explained to me everything about the hostel when I first applied. I would recommend this place ✌🏼

This hostel felt like a home, its small but cozy, I was in the female bedroom, mezzanine but usually its not fully booked so it felt like a private room, the male one perhaps is full of people often. The guests stays for long periods so you can really get into know people there, cook together and walk the city! Since the place is small, the tasks are simple and you spend only 1 or 2 hours helping here and after that you have the rest of the day free.
The internet works great and its really fast, also the place is really warm so you won't have any troubles with the winter... thank you!!

I spent three weeks here - it was a great experience. I usually had my tasks done within 2 hours - there were days I did extra tasks (my choice - I cleaned out the utensil drawers and organized them, no one asked me to, I just wanted to. My OCD was kicking in and I needed to clean to alleviate that). The guests were very respectful and, for the most part, kept the shared areas tidy. I had no issues with anyone - we all got along and I met some lovely people while here. I would definitely recommend others coming here. It's in a great location and lots of places around to see.

I volunteered here for a month, and from the very first day everything was clearly explained. My main tasks were cleaning the rooms and common areas. The atmosphere was calm and stress-free ✨, and I was able to do my work peacefully without any pressure. It was an enjoyable and positive experience. I truly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️— in the mornings you work, and in the afternoons you have plenty of free time to explore the city. The owner is very kind and always willing to help.
