The experience

This school in Kathmandu provides education to almost 150 students between 4 and 14 years old.
No matter the kids origin or which status their parents have, everyone should have a chance of receiving good education. The school is also home for 17 children whose parents can't take care of them.
Despite what has been achieved now, we don't stop dreaming. Every kid in Nepal should have a chance at a good life, and this start with a good education!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: We ask volunteers to pay a small sum of 5 USD a day to stay here (cover food, boiled/filtred water, cold shower, wifi)

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Program Details

We expect volunteers to teach various subjects in Nava Indradhanush English Boarding school to different grades (1-9th grade). School starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm (break at 1pm). After class, volunteers can enjoy resting, helping with homework or exploring the surroundings!
