I loved my stay at Backpackers 1770! It was truly an amazing experience and I would recommend staying here to anyone. The hostel provides a sense of community that includes fun activities, shared meals and outings. On top of that the shifts aren't too long and the work is very manageable. If you are a nature loving, open and easy going person I'm certain that you will enjoy this experience. I met here incredible people - guests and well as the other volunteers - that made my stay special.

I had a really great time at the hostel! The work was 2 hours each day and there were always clear instructions given. The rest of the volunteers were all so lovely and really helped make my time in Agnes Water so much fun. The volunteer dorm has 10 beds but the room is big enough that it never felt cramped.

I really enjoyed my day at the backpackers at 1770. The work was not too hard and the people here are so lovelyand the vibe is so chill. It's not a party hostle but it still had a lot of fun event times. I loved hanging out with the people here going to the beach which is 10 minutes away swimming surfing and hanging out with the other guest and volunteers. The Dorm was good as well. And they have the best outside shower ever.🔥 Laban,Neta and Oscar were very nice , and flexible if you need to go to another work.

I had a wonderful time volunteering in the backpackers @1770. First I did housekeeping, and then I became the cook. I loved being the cook so much, because it's a big passion of mine and it didn't feel like working. I met the most amazing friends here. The hostel is cozy and the managers make sure you don't work more hours than agreed on. The policy is flexible and they try to match your volunteering with your paid job, which I appreciate a lot. I would recommend everyone to go here if you love small towns, the beach, surfing, and good vibes. It's such a joy to stay in this hostel.

This hostel is such a beautiful home to find on the road. As an australian I loved meeting travellers from all across the world! The work is strictly 2 hours, and is standard housekeeping - beds, floors, bathrooms, and gardening. All levels of management are nice and highly capable. I've made lifelong friends at this beautiful hostel! It is a 10 bed dorm, but its kept in good condition.

My experience at Backapackers is more than great!! I even extended my stay after 2 weeks to enjoy longer. At the beginning I was a cleaner for bathrooms, bedrooms and bed making and then I moved to morning clean, the experience is really nice and I would highly recommend it if you want to meet new people and enjoy a slow lifestyle. There is also events every night and always really fun!

I’ve had the best experience volunteering and staying here! The vibe of the hostel is very laidback and it’s been a great place to form a sense of community while travelling. The work itself is manageable and fair, and everyone works together to get it done. The town is quite small but there’s always something to do, whether it be beach, surfing, sunsets, coffee, or just hanging out at the hostel. I will miss being here for sure!

I am having the most amazing time at this hostel! I came in and everyone was super welcoming. You live in a staff dorm room and have a shared en-suite bathroom, which is super nice and convenient. The work is split equally and fairly simple, and you find a daily rhythm quickly. The vibes in the hostel and the team are really great and friendly. After one week, I extended my stay for a month longer, I love this town and this hostel. Just a heads up, if you don't like sand getting into everything you own or bugs just constantly existing around you, you may not like it - Agnes is very tropical!
