I loved volunteering here! The people of the shelter are amazing and you get to meet and learn about all the animals they have there. The work is hard but satisfying and I learned a lot! The only thing is that most of the people speak little english, but it is a very good practice for your Spanish :)

Long story short: volunteering in the host was by far the most mind blowing experience I made so far. Being so close to and working with all those animals we had an awesome time and could learn a lot about wildlife and animal care. To all those who worked with us I want to say thank you for an amazing time and keep up the good work. the host is a project worth supporting and the world can be glad to have people working with such passion and commitment for animals!

My Time in Cuenca was incredible! Sadly I've just been there for 2 weeks but I would have loved to stay longer, the workers and the other volunteers where really nice and we came along nicely. it was a very nice experience and I highly recommend going to the host

It was such a wonderful experience! I stayed for 2 weeks but it went by too fast! Everyone was super nice. You can tell that everyone here truly cares about all the animals in the park and all the animals love them as well! AND all of the animals are rescues. If you love animals, you should definitely come!

This is a unique experience. The all team is super friendly and professional. Jorge is helpful and flexible. You can ask him anything. I've learned so much things about animals. You can feed them, learn about the nutrition, and even participate to bird show. I definitely recommend this volonteer. Hopefully I can come back in the future. Thanks for this amazing experience that I will never forget 🙏😃🇪🇨

I have no words to describe the experience I’ve been lucky enough to have. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome, the teaching, and the patience of my coworkers... I was lucky to have a room and a bathroom to myself (although the water issue could be improved). Naturally, I would definitely recommend this experience 200%; I’m even thinking of doing it again myself. I’m taking home great people and wonderful memories. The work, the care, and the respect they show toward animals are admirable.

Mi experiencia en el refugio ha sido muy enriquecedora. Cada día he aprendido algo nuevo, teniendo la oportunidad de colaborar en diversas áreas, conociendo de cerca la fauna silvestre y el invaluable trabajo de rescate, rehabilitación y sensibilización que realizan con animales víctimas del tráfico ilegal o desplazados por la deforestación. Como sugerencia de mejora, propuse al coordinador un mejor inventario y orden en la cocina y la lavanderia. Recomiendo esta experiencia, su equipo es apasionado y comprometido. ¡Ojalá más personas se sumen a la conservación de estos proyectos tan importantes!

Es una experiencia muy gratificante ya que las tareas que se realizan van encaminadas directamente al cuidado de los animales que viven el parque. Me hubiera gustado aprender más sobre anfibios y reptiles, ya que son mis especies favoritas pero por motivos desconocidos no se pudo llevar a cabo esta petición. En general todo estuvo muy bien.
