Great experience! You will be able to meet a lot of nice people (locals and other travelers) and exchange experiences. The working hours and days off are respect, as the volunteers can plan the schedule, the host is friendly and supportive, the apartment is good and groceries are provided weekly. The city is also nice (especially for bakery lovers) and time flew by while volunteering, I am grateful for my time here.

I really enjoyed my 6 weeks in Daejeon. The work was amazing, the students are friendly. About the city, there is a lot of cafes and tradicional restaurants. The accommodation was nice, shared room with the others volunteers.

The host is chill & friendly, I felt comfortable and really enjoyed my volunteering! The hours are short just 3-4 days a week, only 4 hours per day. I love talking to the Koreans they have interesting information to the coliving if you ask the right qs. The host gave plenty of basic food for us, you don't have to buy much else if you don't want. Daejeon I really like, plenty to do. The house is small but good if you live with tidy people like I did. Only thing that I would ask is that you should speak very good English otherwise it's not fair and the students don't get good value for their money.

Volunteering in Daejeon was one of the best experience I have ever had and I can't recommend it enough!!!

Russell is very kind and you can contact him about anything you'll need!

The home is clean and big, with a lot of delicious food.

The conversations with the students were truly meaningful and fun. It's very easy and they appreciate deeply the time and effort you give them!

All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

What a wonderful experience I had in Daejeon.
Russell is a friendly and communicative host, and he does his best to make you feel welcome and happy. The work you do is easy and enjoyable. I met so many interesting, amazing people, both fellow volunteers and locals, and I have many happy memories in Daejeon.
Daejeon has a lot to offer as a city, with many mountains, beautiful parks, restaurants and bars within easy access, and also a baseball team and football team too.
I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to get a taste of life outside of Seoul and Busan. I love Daejeon!

This was my very first experience with Worldpackers and I don't regret a single thing!!! As a first time solo traveler of 18 years of age, this experience has not only strengthened my independency, but also my desire to explore the world. I seriously wish I stayed longer than my 2 weeks because all the people that I got to meet including the host, Russell, all my fellow volunteers, and all the locals, made Daejeon a home away from home. If you have any doubts, worries, or tips, feel free to use your recourses and reach out to others!! Me included!! I ❤️ DAEJEON!!!!

I had a lovely 3 weeks in Daejeon thanks to Russell, the Korean students at the studio, and everyone I volunteered with. Volunteers plan the weekly schedule, and we have at least 2 days off, including Sundays for everyone. Groceries were also provided weekly. I had fun talking to the students and learning about their life. I also enjoyed living with the other volunteers as we bonded over our experiences in Daejeon. Thank you Russell for the experience, I hope to come back! :)

I had a truly wonderful time here. It felt a little bit like studying abroad. I had around 13 hours of volunteering each week. Talking to the Koreans learning English felt easy and very interesting. We talked about anything and made new the coliving. The other volunteers and I went to a barbecue, hiked, sang karaoke, bakery hopped, and just talked and played games in the shared apartment. There was time to explore outside of Daejeon too because of the convenient public transportation. Make the most out of your time there!
