We plan to construct wooden houses which are safe from the earth quake. The interested volunteers can support us with skilled as well as unskilled manpower. We have started bee farming last year. The volunteers can help us build bee houses, take care of the bees, honey hunting and protect the bee houses. This work will take about 5 hours a day for 5 days.Learn more

Thank you Kamal and all your family for the wonderful two weeks I had! I had the privilege to be part of the Dipavali celebrations and I really was treated like a member of the family. The homestay is located beatifully, when it's clear you can see the Himalayas and you can go on nice day hikes from there.
Personally I would have liked to work a bit more, as there was not much to do this time of year. It is a perfect place for everyone looking to do yoga/ meditation and searching for some quiet and peaceful place. Kamals family are the most loving and welcoming people I've met so far!
Kamal and his family are kind and caring. The farm is on the mountains, with a beautiful view. The days i was there i could help with the food and peeling corn. You have many hours to rest, once there was no much to do. Its a quiet place, with amazing people and delicious food which Goma and Gopini cooks with love to us.
The Love received by Kamal and his family was wonderful from day One. The landscapes, food and people are amazing. It's a little complicated to get to the farm but it really is worth it... maybe there was not so much work for the time, but you can take that time walking around the mountains and helping in whatever you can... was an unforgettable experience and I hope to see then again soon. Thank you, Kamal and family!!
We ended up staying more time than planned and honnestly we could live here for a long, long time. Kamal and his family are the most amazing and humble people I've met, they give you nothing but love from the very first moment. His wife and mom cook the best vegetarian meals and his kids bring so much joy and fun to the environment! We can only say thank you for this amazing experience and recommend Mount Mahabarat to everyone considering coming to Nepal, especially if you want to be in a very silent and calm area. I really hope to be able to come back in the future!
