Volunteering with Kamal was a truly enriching experience. He is a warm and genuine person who truly believes in his eco-village project. He gave me freedom to contribute. I really appreciated his kindness, trust, and the peaceful vibes of his project. It felt more like a real collaboration than just volunteering. I would definitely recommend him he's a great host and a kind human being. Thank you, Kamal! 🌿🇳🇵

We really enjoyed our trip to the homestay. It is located in a stunning area and the family are really welcoming and kind. We learnt a lot about living sustainably and really enjoyed helping out on the eco village helping prepare vegetables for dinner. The food was incredible and we had good fun playing Dobble and pick-up sticks in the evening.

We had a fantastic time at the eco village. We only stayed for 4 nights but we will remember it for a long time. The entire family was kind hearted and welcoming, the food was incredible, and we learned a lot about the culture the eco village life along the way. I am especially thankful to Jenish (their son) for showing us around the local area, taking me down to see the river, having a kick about, and teaching us how to play pick-up-sticks, we shall try to improve our technique! We would recommend this to anyone, thank you all for a wonderful stay.

It was my first time volunteering in Nepal. They gave me a wonderful welcome, allowing me time to settle in, and then everything fell into place naturally, just the two of us women, cooking, chatting, laughing... and then there were those timeless moments, like after a beautiful day in the fields picking aloo, simply gathering to eat together in the kitchen, that room which, for me, is the heart of this house. If you need to disconnect from this crazy world, return to what's essential, and take the time to simply be before having, it's the best place 🙏🌺

Kamal and his family were warm to receive me and I felt at right at home instantly :) Kamal knew my love for nature and hiking and immediately accommodated for that: I have gone on 4 guided hikes during my time here and was amazed by the beautiful and untouched nature in the forests and mountains of Bethanchowk! On my off-days, I was free to do what I want. You could garden the eco village with the rest of the Nepal family or prepare the lovely meals. It was rainy during my time (early June) which sometimes limited the things you could do. Apparently the best periods to stay is September-October!

We had a wonderful week at the farm. A huge thank you for your warm welcome, your kindness, your good humor, and the smiles of the whole family. Thanks to them, we learned so much about sustainable agriculture, harvesting wheat and lentils… We always worked together and shared delicious meals and milk tea every day! We also went to the top of the nearest mountain to admire the sunset. It was incredible! Thank you, Janish, for showing us the gym, the relaxation area, and all the games we played together! We can't wait to come back! We 100% recommend this wonderful family!

I only had a short stay with Kamal and his family but I had such an amazing time.
From the very beginning you are welcomed into the family especially by Goma, Gopini, Angel and Jenish. I loved the daily yoga we had instructed my Kamal and the food was incredible!!! I learnt a lot about Nepali culture and I would definitely come back again.
During my stay, I helped Kamal film a short video so he could enter a competition to win a prize to put towards his project which was fun to create and I hope it goes well! It was also the perfect opportunity to slow down which I was very grateful for.

My husband and I stayed for 9 days. The family, especially Goma, Gopini, Angel, and Jenish treated us like family. We helped out both on the eco village with kitchen tasks. We're not interested in social media tasks, but we took some short videos for Kamal. Make it clear you are happy to work and they will find tasks for you. The days are not structured, so be flexible. The family really had an impact on us and we felt so at home and we learned lots about Nepali culture. The food is incredible. This is a great spot for birding. If you're looking for a trek guide, Kamal will offer his services.

We had an amazing stay with Kamal and his family. We learned a lot about rural Nepali culture, and how to live and work on a Nepali farm. While there wasn't much work to be done, Goma and amaa always had us busy chopping veg for meals or moving firewood for cooking.
The whole family was awesome and made us feel welcome from the minute we got there. We stayed for a month and grew to feel like a real family with them. Jenish, the youngest son is a ball of energy and so much fun to be around and learn from. Goma and amaa were so welcoming and friendly, and Kamal was a good guide and host for us

Thank you, the eco village, for letting me stay with you! I couldn't have imagined a better experience for my second volunteering from the very beginning, they welcomed me into their family and made sure I felt comfortable :). Due to the cold season, there wasn't much work to do on the farm, so I helped out in the kitchen instead. Goma felt like a second mother to me how things are done. Not to forget the food! It was really good, especially the dal bhat. It felt like dining in a restaurant ;)! The sunset hike was amazing with a breathtaking landscape. Thank you for everything!!
