Excellent place! Enrique is a really nice person. Kind and helps you in everything. The places is more for local workers than other travelers but you meet a couple of them. The location is greaaaat! Wifi great. It also has a couple of tvs with Netflix!

First of all, the host did have his doubts about me being deaf in terms of communicating but I convinced him to give me a chance and I am very grateful for that. We communicated using WhatsApp texts. The host is very good with his English. I wish I could be close to being fluent in Spanish but learning along. As for my landscaping work and having his bar stool chairs, it went very well and the communication was smooth. Additionally, he provided all the accommodations for my lodging. I truly appreciated him giving me the very first volunteer opportunity as a traveler! Thank you, Enrique!

My experience at the hostel was very nice, and I mainly remember the shared moments and the people I met. Jorge and Caro were wonderful to me, and I also had the opportunity to meet Héctor, a very good and warm person. The owners were very attentive and even took me to and from the station. I was lucky to share in one of their weddings, something that made my stay even more special. The tasks are simple and I really enjoyed the family dynamic, the children and the little dog. I carry fond memories with me. ❤️

The location is ideal, as it is close to services and useful places. I’m not sure I would recommend it because I have been volunteering for years, and the only thing I would consider recommending would be that they do 5 days of work. It is also important to consider the privacy of the volunteers, as at times it felt like we were invading the space of the family home. With one day of rest, the experience feels more like a job, I hope they remember that it is VOLUNTEERING I hope they can improve the experience to 5 days of work and 2 days off. I want to thank you, Enrique, for the opportunity to volunteer here. My experience with you was good: there was always clarity in the activities and I had no issues. However, I would like to tell you that during my stay Isabel made constant comments that made me uncomfortable, with criticisms toward volunteers, guests, even toward you, creating a tense and hostile environment. She also questioned my length of stay (my brother's as well) and the tasks assigned. Although I value the experience, I would not return if that situation continued.

I would like to thank Enrique and Jorge for these two weeks. The tasks were simple, in most cases they involved cleaning and a bit of maintenance with chairs to varnish. We went several times to the city center to enjoy local food and discover the colonial architecture. I was able to speak Spanish well enough to improve my level, whether with the guests or with the hotel managers.
