During my seven weeks experience at the hostel, I met so many wonderful people from all over the world. I shared hard work, laughter, karaokes, dances, sunsets and a lot of water not only from the sky, but also on our foreheads! I learned so much through the different cultural exchanges and the various activities we did and took part in allowed me to discover Bergen and its surroundings, while also broadening my horizons and developing new ideas. the staff was always kind and welcoming, the other volunteers I shared this experience with are people I will always carry in my heart.

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel. The tasks are 100% social events, volunteers do not do housework or reception. I had a fantastic time taking groups of guests on hikes around Bergen. the hostel is incredibly generous to volunteers. Volunteer bedrooms are only two people each, and the hostel provides food so volunteers almost never need to buy their own food unless they want to. You will adore the hostel if you are a genuinely sociable person who loves people. The volunteers plan and run the events without too much constant oversight, so make sure you're a self-directed person!

It was a very fun and exciting time at the hostel. The team is very welcoming, openminded and nice. Furthermore, you get to know so many amazing people from around the world that influence your way of thinking and improve your perspective on life. If you want to socialize with openminded and international people, connect with the gorgeous and stunning nature that surrounds you and like hiking and creative things, you will definitely love it there! It was a pleasure and a very enriching experience :) My highlight were the hikes, my friends and the music and peaceful spirit in the social room.

My time volunteering here was an incredibly positive and fun experience. There were plenty of fun activities to do, so you definitely won't get bored even in the low season, and the tasks were very easy. Majority of the time it didn't feel like work at all. I really appreciated how kind and approachable the staff were, and having breakfast and lunch included was a huge plus and really convenient. Overall I would definitely recommend volunteering at the hostel :)
